Thoughts I Had While Watching The Last Episode Before Hometowns From The Bachelorette Season 19

Thoughts I Had While Watching The Last Episode Before Hometowns From The Bachelorette Season 19 ...

The Bachelorette Season 19 has proved to be one of the most dramatic seasons of all time (Jesse Palmer's words, not mine). Following the eliminations that have taken place on Season 19, with hometowns looming and possible engagements only weeks away, things got real on this past weeks episode of The Bachelorette.

This week on The Bachelorette, a lot of things happened that I have never seen before, but we also touched a few milestones that indicate things have become serious. Let's break it down.

The Realest Bachelor Breakup Of All Time

I knew. The guys knew. The only one who didnt know was Nate.

Gabby knew she would not be able to go to her localities and meet Nates daughter if she wasn't 100% ready to commit to becoming a mother. So she did something Ive never seen on The Bachelor or The Bachelorette before: She took him on a 1-on-1 therapy session to give him a breakup.

Gabby has deep feelings for him, but she knows she wont be able to carry on with him if she isn't willing to take on a motherly role.

Nate assured Gabby that he understood, but that when the time came for her, he would realize that she would be an incredible mother. Despite being 100% blindsided by the split, he responded with maturity and respect.

The way he handled everything makes me want to be with him more.

Gabby will have to make a terrible separation to continue to date the other guys, but she was aware that she had to make a decision.

Rachels Wardrobe Is Still Slacking

Rachel Recchia is one of the most beautiful women Ive ever seen. However, her outfits for this season are utterly off-putting.

Gabby shows up to dates in lovely outfits that complement her personality. Rachel shows up wearing whatever the poofy red dress was. Im not hating how Rachel looks, although she obviously looks stunning regardless of the outfit. I just wish that Rachel's outfits would be more true to her personality outside of the show.

Zach mentioned that he had taken steps to improve himself during his date with Rachel, and she then asked him a very important question. What specific steps did you take to improve yourself?

Its a simple question, but so effective. If he wasnt lying, he'd have no difficulty answering. But if he was just trying to express his self-pity, it would be quite evident.

Zach explained to Rachel that therapy has become a major part of his life and has helped him overcome his mental health difficulties. Many thanks to Rachel for enticing him to elaborate.

The First Im Falling In Love With You

Everyone, please ring the bell. The first time I'm in love with you is when I receive it.

Bachelor/Bachelorette contestants are always careful with their words. You might have heard an I could see myself falling in love with you, or I have deep feelings for you, but nobody on this season has yet to say the six Bachelor franchise words that have the most weight.

Zach confessed to Rachel that he is in love with her at the conclusion of a very successful 1-on-1. Zach's quick communication (plus mention that he is in therapy) have definitely boosted him to the top 10 of Rachel's top prospects.

Im The President Of The Gabby Fan Club

Gabby Windey is my new favorite woman. I've said it before and I'll say it again.

Gabby is grounded in a way that makes her so connected to others. She is so good with feelings it almost seems like she can read peoples thoughts.

Gabby is a genuine person who brings out the genuinity in others. They offered encouragement and encouragement while still allowing Gabby to disclose everything she needed to disclose.

Gabbys Guys Are Top Tier

I like the way the guys on The Bachelorette always become besties. We saw it a couple seasons ago with the guys on Katies season of The Bachelorette, but Gabbys guys are no exception. I guess if you group of dudes together and give them unlimited drinks, they'll be friends.

Gabbys guys have really ramped it up in the last few weeks. Like Ive already mentioned, her chat with the guys following Nate's separation was so mature.

Johnny's moving words to Gabby after she explained: "We knew." Was my favorite scene from the film?

Johnny explained that the guys had been sitting around worrying about the one thing Gabby would make. They knew she had been thinking about her hometowns. And they knew she wouldnt meet Nates daughter if she wasnt ready.

Lets not forget that when Spencer was sent home, his final words to Gabby were, They were great guys. Awww.

Surprise Covid Elimination

Another Bachelor firstJesse Palmer had to break the news to Gabby that Logan had tested positive for Covid-19 and would not be able to accompany them on their journey.

Logan's positive Covid test meant he would no longer be a contestant, but I doubt he would have missed too much time. A week is like six months in Bachelor time.

It was all for nothing when Logan changed sides halfway through.

What caused Jesse to make Logan appear like he was missing for a mystical reason? We dont know what happened off-camera, but Jesse seemed to ignore any of the other guys that Logan had left because he had to quarantine. Maybe it's a HIPAA violation?

New Villain Alert!

Someone starts playing the Jaws music. We have a possible antagonist arc starting.

Tino has been one of Rachel's front runners since the beginning, which is why he was surprised that Tyler got the group date over him. Okay, shocked is fine. You may be a little irritated.

Tino went a step further when he began to express his displeasure and displeasure at not earning Rachels. Off the screen, we see him complaining to a producer, saying, "What happened?"

Today, I've reached every milestone.

Is it a basketball game? Maybe Im misinterpreting, but it SEEMS like he was attempting to make a point of saying he played the game correctly today and believed he deserved to win. Even Jesse Palmer says contestants fall into foul play when they don't know how to play.

Improvements To The Double Rose Ceremony

One of the biggest problems with the season so far has been timing. Generally, Bachelor/Bachelorette procedures arent meant for two leads. However, producers made a good change to the Rose Ceremony this past week when they allowed Gabby to give away all her roses, then gave Rachel time to give away hers. It was a major improvement from switching back and forth between roses previously this season.

Both women were allowed to have their moments, and the change gave the guys they had eliminated a better environment in which to say goodbyes.

What do you think? I dont read spoilers for Becky, but Ive got Tyler for Rachels winner. I still think any of Gabbys guys could be the one, but hometowns will definitely be a big factor.

Season 19 of The Bachelorette is available on ABC Mondays. Past episodes are available to stream with a Hulu subscription.
