DWG KIA backdoor KT to win close series and advance to semifinals of 2022 LCK Summer Split playoffs ...

Most League of Legends fans were unconcerned that today's LCK Summer Split playoff series between DWG KIA and KT would be so close. From DWG's dominance in the first two games to KT almost registering a reverse sweep, it was a close contest between the two teams. In game five, DWG triumphed over KT and won the 3-2 series.

DWG held their ground strong in the series. In game one, they stayed ahead of KT and maintained their gold lead by securing map objectives. Even when KT defeated the Elder Drake, DWG just backdoored the enemy Nexus, gaining the game.

DWG dominated the next game as KT abled to turn the game around in some fashion thanks to the brilliant setup from Rascals Ornn. But in the next teamfight, DWG obliterated them, claiming a major advantage.

KT fought back, winning twice in a row. Swain for Rascal and Sylas for Vicla made this ensemble work. With Aimings Lucian dealing burst damage, KT beat DWG for the first win in the series.

In game four, KTs resilience was put to the test. Deokdams Nilah and Showmakers Ahri were able to turn almost every teamfight in DWGs favour. They even aced KT and almost completely opened up their base.

KT held their ground and reclaimed the Hextech Soul to make a remarkable comeback. With this victory, they lifted the series into a crucial game five.

Both teams seemed to have leveled up their gameplay in the final game of the series, from ShowMakers Corki putting down a quadra kill to Aimings fed Zeri kiting a fledgling DWG team.

KT made a mistake when they chose to go for the Cloud Soul. During this period, DWG launched a successful backdoor and defeated the enemy Nexus, valuing the game and series.
