Netflix has finally given Enola Holmes 2 a release date, and we even get the first look to announce the exciting news.
Enola Holmes (Millie Bobby Brown) faces her first official case following the first film's events.
Enola's first attempt to track down a missing girl ends up involving a dangerous conspiracy and a mystery that requires the help of her friends and Sherlock himself.
On Netflix, Enola Holmes 2 will be released on November 4 and the first-look photographs have been released, which you can see below:
The sequel returns Louis Partridge as Tewkesbury, Helena Bonham Carter as Enola's mother Eudoria, Adeel Akhtar as Lestrade, and Susan Wokoma as Edith.
Enola Holmes 2, directed by Harry Bradbeer and written by Jack Thorne, has also returned, starring David Thewlis, Sharon Duncan-Brewster, Hannah Dodd, Abbie Hern, Gabriel Tierney, and Serrana Su-Ling Bliss.
Nancy Springer's Enola Holmes Mysteries book series will be adapted for the sequel, like the first film, which saw Enola try to track down Lady Cecily Alistair.
As the first film was not, we wouldn't expect it to be a direct adaptation of the book, although we'll expect some connections to the source material.
Brown discussed how a casting director told her when she was ten years old that she was "too mature."
"[Hearing that] was a difficult decision because I believed [maturity] was a good thing. It was so harrowing when I was told that I wouldn't make it in this business."
Needless to say, her maturity hasn't exactly halted her.
Netflix will release Enola Holmes 2 on November 4.
