The Suspect, Aidan Turner's new ITV series, has been given a release date.
The Poldark actor will play a successful doctor who is entangled in the death of a young lady in the next thriller.
The program will air on ITV Hub on Monday, August 29 at 9pm.
The synopsis for The Show reads: "Turner plays Doctor Joe O'Loughlin, who appears to have a wonderful life with a dedicated wife and loving daughter, a successful practice as a criminal psychologist, and a publishing deal."
"When a young woman is found dead, he is only too willing to assist with his profiling and expertise." However, as the investigation into the woman's death progresses, we begin to question, do we know the real Joe, or does he have a hidden existence?
The Suspect also has a stellar cast, including Shaun Parkes of Small Axe, Vigil's Anjli Mohindra, Camilla Beeput of Save Me, and Fleabag's Sian Clifford.
Last week, fans were given a first proper look by a trailer, which shows Joe trying to unravel the mysterious death.
Turner said in an interview about the role previously that he is "amazed" to take on the challenging and demanding role of Joseph O'Loughlin, a man with so much to give but so much to lose and a hidden darker side.
The series, which will be based on Michael Robotham's novel, will be released in five parts and is produced by the producers of Line of Duty and Vigil.
The Suspect will launch on ITV on Monday, August 29, at 9pm, before becoming available on the ITV Hub.
