Following are spoilers for Emmerdale.

Daisy Campbell, an Emmerdale star, has commented on her character's future birth scenes.

Amelia Spencer is played by the actress, who unplanned pregnancy was revealed in a July episode. The news came to a surprise to viewers and Campbell.

"I was absolutely stunned," she said.

"But also super happy because it's something I've always wanted to do. Amelia's storyline has always intrigued me, so I was psyched about it."

Campbell has been planning to film Amelia's labour, which will air later this year.

"I'm really excited." She said when she said she always wanted to do this narrative, it's what you lead up to and what you're aiming towards.

"I'm a little bit nervous, but I'm really excited, because I've completed my prep and I know where to go."

She said she's been watching reality TV show One Born Every Minute since she got ready, especially when it comes to teen pregnancy, as is the case with Amelia.

"I hope she finds a bit of happiness," the actress said of her character's arc.

"This will bring her happiness, but even in herself. I'd like her to find happiness, but also some drama, because we all love a bit of drama."

There is no official confirmation as to whether the birth of Amelia will air during Emmerdale's 50th anniversary in the autumn.

"You are on the right with your dates. Amelia is due soon. I'm not going to lie if she doesn't have the baby in the 50th anniversary month," executive producer Jane Hudson said earlier this month.

Emmerdale airs on ITV weeknights at 7.30pm, and it also airs on the ITV Hub.
