Amber Gill, who plays Amber on Love Island, has confirmed that she did indeed speak out when she mentioned on Twitter that she was considering "switching teams."
Gill told hosts Bobby Norris and Stephen Leng that it was an "off-the-cuff moment" but it was "true."
"I meant exactly what I said," she said.
"Switching teams was the best decision I made in my life," said the Love Island winner in July, adding, "Watching men makes me sick. I couldn't imagine myself going through it again."
Gill is now known as a TV personality, although she had not addressed her remarks until now.
"I remember looking at [the tweet] and thinking, wow, what have I said?" she said.
"Like a lot of my pals were like if you were gonna do it any way, that's the normal way that you would do it."
Gill, who spent only two weeks with Greg O'Shea outside of the villa, has admitted to being more picky about picking a partner now.
"I find it extremely difficult, and I can't, like, I really don't know, like, the reason behind it," she said. But I'm just, yeah, very picky now. And like, very attuned to what I like and what I don't like, so I don't know if it's part of the reason.
Gill has revealed that she has a dealbreaker with guys, despite the fact that she doesn't have a particular type when it comes to women.
"I'd hate it if someone is overly fond of Instagram, especially since I'm a photographer, and this is for a guy, even though I don't have that many nasty tendencies when it comes to girls, but for guys, I'm much harsher."
Love Island is available via ITV Hub and Britbox.
