Before the quarter-final, Celebrity MasterChef stars another star ...

Follow the spoilers for Celebrity MasterChef.

Tonight (August 18), Celebrity MasterChef sent another star packing as the second trio of quarter-finalists were announced.

Chris Eubank, All Saints vocalist Mel Blatt, Call the Midwife's Cliff Parisi, and TV choirmaster Gareth Malone were all in the hot seat, but who were judges John Torode and Gregg Wallace toppled out?

Chris Eubank, we're sorry to report this.

The first task for the foursome was a 15-minute task: in front of John and Gregg, they had to prepare fettuccine with basil and parsley pesto.

As self-confessed "cooking novice," Chris needed help at each stage.

Freddy Forster, a world-renowned pro chef, came to Europe to test them all in new ways, bringing to life a batch of dishes inspired by his West African heritage.

Then came the realisation: a last-gasp opportunity to defeat John and Gregg, as the cooks were asked to create a dish showcasing their youth.

Chris thanked his fellow competitors before revealing his accomplishment to the cameras: "I'm going to look back in amazement, look at me, I was in the MasterChef kitchen."

Cliff, who appeared on I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! back in 2019, beamed: "I never imagined I'd make it to the quarter-final, it's just unbelievable, but it just keeps coming at you in waves you can't even get to the toilet!"

Mel also reacted: "I'm just super happy, super chuffed." "But wait, there's another challenge... I'm starting to get nervous about that now as well! So I'm not going to enjoy this for too long."

On BBC One, Celebrity MasterChef is broadcast.
