An original song by Jamie Foxx and The BSB Boys, "BUD (Mowing Down Vamps)," is featured during the end credits of Netflix's new vampire film Day Shift. Now, a music video for the song, directed by Taylor Chien, includes J Young MDK and Sam Pounds.
Day Shift is a story about a blue-collar father who is actually a vendor for a vampire hunting service, and the music video is very campy, and opens with Franco calling Foxx to tell him they have "some vamps to mow." There is also a female vampire hunting a convenience store clerk in the video, although there are some violent scenes.
Day Shift is the most watched film on Netflix this week, with a total of 56.51 million views. The film has received mixed reviews from critics, with it currently having a 59 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes.
Foxx is well-known for his Oscar-winning role, but he is also an accomplished musician. Peep This, Unpredictable, Intuition, and Hollywood: A Story of a Dozen Roses have all been listed in the Billboard 200's top 10. In 2010, Foxx won a Grammy alongside T-Pain for Best R&B Performance for the song "Blame It."
Day Shift is now available on Netflix. Check out the official music video below:
