Emily Blunt and Chaske Spencer star in a mythical western drama series in English ...

The English, a British period drama starring Emily Blunt (A Quiet Place) and Chaske Spencer (Wild Indian), will tell the story of two strangers in middle America attempting to cross the impossible, a terrorizing landscape built on "dreams and blood." Through Prime Video, Hugo Blick's award-winning writer and director teases the official first look images of the two actors running headfirst into an agonizing situation.

The English will tell a unique story about race, power, and love, set in mid-America in the 1890s.

Rafe Spall, who played Blunt and Spencer in the 2020 crime television series The Salisbury Poisonings, is joining the ensemble cast. Rea will play the local sheriff in Hoxem, named Robert Marshall, as he investigates the "bizarre and macabre" killings, including that of a young widow's (Pachner) husband.

In November, BBC Two and BBC iPlayer will release the English series in the United Kingdom. Amazon Prime Video will premiere the series in the United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. Blunt also executive produced the series, with Colin Wratten (Killing Eve) establishing out as the series' producer.

The English will be released in November. Check out the first look photos below.
