Jesse Williams Reacts To Grey's Anatomy Star Ellen Pompeo's Big Season 19 Changes, And Hints At Japr ...

Former star Jesse Williams seemed to think that Greys Anatomy would survive Meredith Grey. However, now that Ellen Pompeo has officially announced shell will only appear in a limited role in the upcoming 19th season, the Tony Award nominee had only complimentary words to express about the hard work Pompeo has put in. As well, he said whether or not the beloved couple will make more appearances on the ABC medical drama.

Jesse Williams may have had a hard time imagining what Greys Anatomy might be like without Ellen Pompeo's heart, but he was quick to thank her for all the hard work she has put in as the leading actress since 2005 and producer since Season 14.

That lady has been working tirelessly all year, every year, for the last 20 years of her career in the company. Any vacation she receives is well-earned, and they certainly have something new on their plate.

Ellen Pompeo has paid her dues for 18 seasons and deserves to make whatever adjustments that best serve her future. Although I doubt she would use the term "time off" to describe her part in or executive producing the untitled Hulu drama she'll be working on during her Grey's absence.

Ellen Pompeo's absence gives Jesse Williams and Sarah Drew more time to return in Season 18's finale, according to Jesse Williams. He added: "He didn't know."

I believe it is possible.

Jesse Williams and Sarah Drew have always kept the door open for them to reprise their Greys Anatomy roles in some capacity. Drew had some great ideas for a Japril spinoff, and he certainly enjoyed the opportunity.

Ellen Pompeo will appear in only eight episodes of Greys Anatomy this season, following a bizarre news article. The Barnetts' claim that Natalia was actually a mentally disturbed adult with a rare form of dwarfism who was conning them.

Jesse Williams was not the only Greys Anatomy co-star to express support for Ellen Pompeo in the midst of her exciting new venture. Kevin McKidd said the fact that she is still making time for Greys Anatomy rather than just focusing on her new role, proves how much the program continues to mean to her.

Ellen has been the captain of this ship for all of these years, and she's about to begin producing, so she needed to make room in her schedule for that. What I think is lovely about it is that it still demonstrates her love for the program.

Greys Anatomy will return to ABC on Thursday, October 6 at 9 p.m. ET, and will be fun to see how it all goes down in Season 19, and which familiar faces might return to our screens. Keep an eye on our 2022 TV Schedule to keep abreast of all of the new premieres.
