Riots' response to a bug during the KT Rolster game has sparked anger among the league members ...

In an LCK playoff game, a bug in League of Legends caused a controversial pause.

The most recent issue has affected the League's item shop, putting the MOBA's competitive integrity at jeopardy. About 30 minutes into game two of a match between DWG KIA and KT Rolster, KT paused the game for 45 minutes when Kim Aiming Ha-ram attempted to purchase and then refund an item.

According to Ashley Kang's translation, Ornn used his passive skill, Living Forge, to enhance the Kalistas Immortal Shiedlbow item. Then when Aiming went to purchase and refund Stopwatch, the effects on the item were reversed.

Although fans were already concerned about this potentially game-breaking bug, Riots's response riled people up the most.

"We would like to issue a statement as a result of the pause in game two of the #LCK playoffs, which was requested when Aiming bought then refunded Stopwatch," according to @ktrolstertw. The Ornn upgrade for Immortal Shieldbow was reverted "photo.twitter.com/dal1mywu7j.

According to reporter Ashley Kang, KT made a strong complaint about the item situation at the time of the controversial pause. The shop issue could not be identified as a bug, according to Riot.

After losing 2-0, KT Rolster said, players continue to perform to their best. Please support them until the end.

Many fans expressed displeasure and resentment over why players were required to notify Riot staff ahead of time about the problems. One fan said that LCK has made the decision to continue games when its an unknown bug and when its a known bug, seemingly blaming the players either way.

So players must:check Runes at the start of every match, and check their inventory for errors every time they refund an item.Anyone else know of the other bugs players are now responsible for monitoring? This cannot be allowed to continue without a second thought.

Riot Games hasn't responded to the situation with KT Rolster or addressed the issue in general. However, after such a massive issue, players are hoping a hotfix will be released shortly.
