The Hunters Cry Adventure will run from August 18 to September 1 as the sixth time-limited story content in Sea of Thieves. This time, youll be assigned to rescue the Hunter Merricks Soul from the Dark Brethren, who hold him in a shadowy replica of the Sea Dogs Tavern deep in the Sea of the Damned. There are also six Deeds to complete alongside the in-game content, and youll likely do so as a natural step of finishing the Adventure.
The six Deeds in A Hunters Cry Adventure
The first and last two Deeds youll need to complete are relatively straightforward. You go to a place and talk to a person. The middle four take much less effort. Here they are.
Check in with Larinna when you wake up in the Tavern. She will send you to the docks where youll meet the Pirate Lord, who will grant you this Deed.
The other two on either side of the stairs leading to the Lighthouse Lens are both lit by the lantern. If you do so, the Deed will be earned.
There will always be at least two wandering Ghost Ships around the island, which will take four or five cannon hits to defeat, and once youve defeated three of them, the Deed is completed.
Lighthouse beams work in tandem with braziers, causing ghostly bridges to appear if their light stays long enough at the location. For example, aiming the northern Lighthouse at the entrance between the two main mountain peaks causes a bridge to form after the lights have been shining through for several seconds.
You and other pirates will need to work together to build all of the jetties, platforms, and bridges that lead to Merrick. Along the way, youll need to continue lighting Braziers, and once you light all of them on your way to the drawbridge, the seal around the lowering capstan will be gone, allowing you to cross.
This is as simple as crossing the drawbridge, speaking with Merrick, and then listening to the Dark Brethren and the Pirate Lord trade barbs. When the conversation is over, you'll have the Deed done.
Visit any Tavern and write to Larinna again. Youll receive a letter from Shell northwest of the Reapers Hideaway. Take the letter to Serik, who lives on the docks edge, and read the letter to her. Once you have completed the Deed and the Adventure, youll be back on the sea of Thieves.
