The Wildest Character Rumors and Leaks in MultiVersus: Neo, Beetlejuice, Ted Lasso

The Wildest Character Rumors and Leaks in MultiVersus: Neo, Beetlejuice, Ted Lasso ...

Many modern fighting games have expanded their playable characters through DLC, which has resulted in numerous leaks and rumors. For instance, the Super Smash Bros. community regularly tries its best to discover all of the season pass fighters that will appear in the game. As such, the MultiVersus community is currently doing the same.

MultiVersus launched with a decent, if modest, collection of playable characters. From fan-favorite DC characters like Batman and Superman to Loony Tunes favorites like Bugs Bunny and Taz, the game's influence extends far beyond these properties.

MultiVersus fans have researched every bit of information they can find in order to see who will make the game roster. Before the developers confirmed these characters, those same fans even thought they knew which fighters were in the works.

Let's be clear: these are all rumors. At the moment, there are a lot of MultiVersus leaks, and while we attempted to focus on the most noteworthy, interesting, and seemingly possible roster additions, these are all nothing more than rumors until further notice.

Marvin the Martian

Marvin the Martian is one of the most popular Looney Tunes recurring antagonists. His ensemble is reminiscent of Mars' Roman god, (Marvin is from Mars, right?). While gamers have not discovered that famous character model in MultiVersus data, they have discovered plenty of Marvin voice lines that have led some to believe that Marvin's MultiVersus appearance is more likely to happen when rather than when.

Nubia

Nubia may not be well-known by name, but you most certainly know her half-sister: Wonder Woman. Nubia may also be playing a part in games as a whole, according to dataminers. They have even discovered conceptual art, models, and voice lines related to the character, so the likelihood of Nubia being included in the games is high.

Raven (Teen Titans)

Raven is one of the most well-known Teen Titans characters. During earlier Teen Titans comics, the groups 2003 cartoon really elevated her to new heights, in no small part due to Tara Strong's memorable voice performance. Several people have discovered Raven voice lines that make reference to Superman, Reindog, and other MultiVersus characters.

Gizmo

Since Gremlins Stripe has already been confirmed, one cannot help but wonder why the developers selected Mogwai instead of his progenitor, Gizmo? Of course, leaks will reveal a player icon that resembles Gizmos, as well as voice lines that appear to originate from Gizmo rather than Stripe. One example may even include Harley Quinn calling Gizmo by his surname.

Poison Ivy

Pamela Isley, better known as Poison Ivy, is a Gothams resident ecoterrorist and occasional antihero. Games have found some unidentified Batman lines or models that may indicate that she was involved in the game. It's quite possible that Batman and Harley Quinn ended up being the only two people who played Gotham City.

Daenerys Targaryen and The Hound

Arya Stark is the only Game of Thrones character that is usable in MultiVersus. According to some leaks, that might not be the case for long. Unfortunately, the only information on those characters was hidden deep within the games code.

Scorpion and Sub-Zero

It's unlikely that MultiVersus will be the only WB-owned fighting that features DC characters. After all, NetherRealm Studios is the studio responsible for the Injustice franchise and modern Mortal Kombat titles. However, leakers have discovered several so far unused Jake the Dog lines that make reference to famous Flawless Victory and Get over here! citations.

Beetlejuice

Beetlejuice has dipped in and out of popular culture since his debut in the 1988 Tim Burton film of the same name. He has made a few remarkable comebacks, as demonstrated by a Teen Titans episode dedicated to the character as well as the publication of a stunningly popular Beetlejuice Broadway musical. Various voice lines of the character interact with other MultiVersus fighters, including the aforementioned Nubia.

The Joker

Do you know what the MultiVersus roster currently lacks? Villains. This is why rumors that the Joker might appear are so popular. Apart from a random laugh and two uncovered voice lines of Batman talking about the Joker, nobody has found any evidence that Player First Games is intending to make that character playable anytime soon.

Gandalf

MultiVersus dataminers uncovered evidence of Gandalf as an early character. However, much of the information was simply leaker rubbish, such as out-of-focus shots and voice lines from questionable sources. To make matters worse, a Reddit leaker claims that the Tolkien family is against including Gandalf in the game.

Harry Potter and Ron Weasley

In early MultiVersus builds, Gandalf was mentioned. However, the trail that led to those two appearing has gone cold recently. It makes sense that someone from the Harry Potter universe will eventually participate in the game, but there is nothing concrete that indicates that anyone from the wizarding world will soon appear.

Johnny Bravo, Samurai Jack, and the Powerpuff Girls

Finn the Human and Steven Universe are already included in MultiVersus. What about older Cartoon Network characters, though? According to an early leak, they might be joining the party as well.

Max Max

It's easy to overlook, but Warner Bros. technically owns the Mad Max series and the rights to the series' lead character. That may explain why gamers discovered references to the character in the early alpha of MultiVersus. However, Max is a bit of a longshot compared to other more family-friendly (and generally more mainstream) characters that might appear in MultiVersus.

Ben 10

Ben Tennyson, a popular action cartoon from the late 20th century, comes to mind. It's quite possible that the game's developers would approve of him. The first alpha build of MultiVersus includes data that references Ben 10.

Godzilla and King Kong

Legendary Pictures and Warner Bros. have given them new life thanks to the burgeoning MonsterVerse. Not only are these iconic creatures suitable for the game, but they were even mentioned in some of the earlier leaks that were filled with unclaimed information. However, unlike other previous speculation, this one can probably be put to rest as Godzilla isnt coming to the game.

Emmet (The Lego Movie)

The Lego Movie's reputation as a game's mascot has pushed the franchise to a new level of commercial success. However, there is nothing at this time that directly supports that claim.

Eleven

The early Super Smash Bros. games mostly stayed with Nintendo characters, but eventually it expanded to include others like Sephiroth, Banjo-Kazooie, and Minecrafts Steve. MultiVersus may pull something similar, according to leakers, because she owns the rights to the character and show.

Scooby Doo

Shaggy and Velma are in MultiVersus, but what is the Scooby Gang without Scooby? One of the leaked voice lines even includes Shaggy chastising Scooby for knocking him out of the ring. Maybe the developers wanted to include Scooby when MultiVersus was released, or maybe they wanted to include the dog at some later time.

Wicked Witch

The Wizard of Oz is a well-known family film based on a book of the same name. Originally, the film was distributed by Loews Inc., but Warner Bros. has purchased the rights to the property. Many YouTuber leakers suggested that the Wicked Witch might have been included as a character.

Neo

Neo is very likely to fit into the MultiVersus style of chaotic combat, given that the WB has conveniently distributed the Matrix films. After all, a recent MultiVersus patch disguised Neo in a green banner that resembled The Matrix's iconic green code seemed to be more representative of his personal feelings rather than an official statement on crossovers.

Ted Lasso

According to one of the most recent MultiVersus character roster rumors (which was shared by a prominent Reddit leaker) Ted Lasso is likely to be included in the game at some point. While Warner Bros. is one of Ted Lassos' producers, this does seem to be a bit of a stretch considering the many other character possibilities.
