Virgin River snatched the top spot on Nielsen's latest U.S. streaming originals with the release of its fourth season.
Virgin River amassed 2.64 billion minutes in 42 episodes for the week of July 18, beating Stranger Things, which spent seven weeks in the No. 1 position, but then fell to No. 2 with 2.3 billion minutes in 34 episodes.
Virgin Rivers' audience profile, according to Nielsen, is comparable to that of The Crown's historical drama, with nearly two-thirds of its audience over the age of 50 and almost a third over 65.
Resident Evil remained stable at No. 3 on Netflix (with 772 million minutes/eight episodes), followed by The Umbrella Academy (553 million minutes/30 episodes) and Prime Videos The Boys (532 million minutes/24 episodes).
Prime Videos The Terminal List (down four spots from its two-week run at No. 2), Netflixs Alba, Hulus Only Murders in the Building, and Netflixs Jurassic World Camp Cretaceous and Blown Away round out the Top 10 for the week of July 18.
Ms. Marvel, D.B. Cooper, Peaky Blinders, and Ozark fell out of the Top 10 this week.
