Season 2 of 'The Sex Lives of College Girls' is nearing its conclusion ...

The return to Essex College is one step closer, as Season 2 of The Sex Lives of College Girls just wrapped filming! Showrunner Justin Noble first shared the footage via Instagram, followed by other cast and crew members, emulating another wonderful day.

The Sex Lives of College Girls premiered its first season at the end of last year. It follows four roommates and friends, Kimberly (Pauline Chalamet), Whitney (Alyah Chanelle Scott), Bela (Amrit Kaur), and Leighton (Renee Rapp) as they begin their college journey at New England Essex College.

Season 2's plot details are currently unavailable to the public, but Season 1 left a few clues open for where the next season might go. Each of them either overcome or faced new obstacles when it came to finances. First, Kimberly, an otherwise excellent student, got caught in some tough situations after cheating on one of her exams. Her scholarship was revoked, placing her family in a similar financial position.

Whitney and Leighton receive some heavy personal burdens from their families. First, Leighton is hurt after a rough break-up with Alicia. Kimberly offers any help she can, which ultimately leads to Leighton being released, which is a liberating moment for the pair as well. Whitney discloses her affair with Dalton to her mother. For much of the season, Whitney struggled to communicate with her mother.

Noble and Mindy Kaling co-created The Sex Lives of College Girls (Never Have I Ever, The Mindy Project). Additional recurring cast members include Ilia Isorelys Paulino, Renika Williams, Christopher Meyer, Lauren Lolo Spencer, and Sierra Katow. Season 2 also sees a couple of cast changes, with Gavin Leatherwood leaving the series and Mitchell Slaggert joining the upcoming season in a currently unknown role.

Sarah Aubrey, the head of HBO Max's original content, said she's excited for Season 2.

"Mindy Kaling and Justin Noble have created and written a show that is full of warmth, feminine friendships, and awkward naked parties." We are thrilled that this humorous and sincere portrayal of the college situation has benefited everyone, regardless of whether or not they had sex in college. We cant wait to see where these unique yet relatable characters take us next.

Season 2 of HBO Max: The Sex Lives of College Girls has yet to be released. In the meantime, watch Season 1 now.
