Tim Roth joined She-Hulk because I like my career being a chaos

Tim Roth joined She-Hulk because I like my career being a chaos ...

No actor leaves the Marvel Cinematic Universe ever completely. No matter how much time passes, the film juggernaut always finds a way to bring back actors who are interested in returning. For instance, Tim Roth, who played the evil Abomination in the 2008 film The Incredible Hulk, is now enjoying a comeback in She-Hulk: Attorney at Law.

Roths re-entry into the Marvel Cinematic Universe began when he reprised his role as Abomination for a brief appearance in Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings. But it is useless to ask him anything further about that film.

Roth said in an interview with Entertainment Weekly that he hasn't seen it, and I didn't know anything about it at all. I normally don't watch the shows that I'm interested in. I spent just a few minutes with them in a sound studio. It was a blast.

Despite that brief interaction, Roth was invited to reprise his role on She-Hulk in a slightly larger capacity.

I was like, OK,' Roth said. I went in and there's Kevin [Feige], who I hadn't seen in years, he told me what they'd in mind. It appealed to my sort of anarchy, I suppose, in the sense that I love my job being a mess. It really appealed on that level.

The anarchy-loving actor is particularly amused by the fact that he will reprise his role as Abomination when Edward Norton played the Incredible Hulk in 2008. For reasons that were never clearly articulated, the MCU quickly replaced Norton with Mark Ruffalo and have clearly never looked back since. She-Hulk has included a few meta jokes, and Roth was eager to add some subtle ones.

It was brilliant. I don't know whether or not there is a bit of confusion when I see him, Roth said. It's very funny. But look, I got to work with two great actors, and Mark Ruffalo, I've always wanted to work with him. That's a lot of credit.
