Choi Polt Seong-hun has been removed from his role as the teams' head coach by T1 and promoted Bae Bengi Seong-woong to interim before the 2022 League of Legends World Championship.

T1s magic has struggled to keep their momentum following their 0-3 defeat to Gen.G in the MSI 2022 season opener. Now, one month ahead of the biggest event of the year, the three-time World Champions have made a major shift to their head coach position.

In the official announcement, T1s League of Legends coach Joe Marsh takes this time to provide an update on Choi Polt Seong-hun's position.

Polt joined the T1 organization as a general manager back in November 2020 before assuming additional roles as the teams' head coach. Before joining the team, Polt helped the team win another League of Legends title.

Marsh said the team would not be where they are today without Polt's efforts.

T1 rookies coach Kim Sky Ha-Neul has been promoted to the main team ahead of the 2022 World Cup. This will be Bengi's first job as the main teams head coach during the 2021 LCK CL season.

Once again, it was a difficult decision and I have spoken with the players before making the final decision. We are asking all T1 fans to continue to show their support and commitment as our team rallies together as one to win the World Cup, Marsh said. We will do everything we can to restore the World Cup.

T1 will compete for their fourth World Cup title in 2022 as Korea's second-seeded team.
