The 2022 Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles film was a total shock hit, as well as Netflix's Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Movie, speculation about a AAA console title next year, and we have just had a taste of the gang's classic arcade adventures in Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Cowabunga Collection, which we absolutely loved.
We are hoping that this hot streak will last long into the future, and a recent Nintendo Everything interview with Charles Murakami might be hints at just that, as the Konami senior producer discussed the prospect of a Cowabunga Collection-style sequel.
Murakami and Digital Eclipse editorial director Chris Kohler discussed the absence of the TMNT games released in the 2000s, being asked if they might acquire a collection of their own in the future.
Never say never! Ive been waiting for a TMNT Collection for decades, and seeing other fans share my desire to see this project come together is one of my greatest moments in my career. Although sometimes the stars must align in order for a project to happen, im encouraged when fans lead those actors into place.
If demand for the Castlevania Advance Collection or a'sequel' collection to the original Castlevania Anniversary Collection is strong, why not allow them to enjoy the 2003 animated series titles again?
The couple discussed the difficulties of combining the classic arcade games into a single cohesive collection, music licensing issues, and the intricate differences between the games' regional releases in the next article.
We're going to be returning to the Cowabunga Collection while listening to the killer theme song from the 2003 series until anything more emerges.
