Chris disclosed to his audience in Phoenix that the Academy had approached him about submitting a presenter for an upcoming event, according to the Arizona Republic.

Chris, who had hosted the Oscars in 2005 and 2016, was quoted as saying that he would find it difficult to go back to the award ceremony since returning to a crime scene would be like returning to the scene.
