Marilyn commits a minor error in the fifth week of her Home and Away film, which will air on Channel 5, when her intention to assist Roo only ends up making her feel worse.
Roo has been trying to find a fresh perspective on life and has recently made the decision that she should return to tutoring to help her feel fulfilled.
She advertises her tutoring services on a flyer at the Diner and anticipates that someone will not forget to touch the page that contains her number.
And she soon learns that someone has taken a tab, but her joy soon comes to an end when nobody ends up calling her for her services.
Marilyn believes she knows exactly what she must do in order to lift Roo's spirits, but her intention to shut up another tab to give her hope only serves to make Roo more anxious about the whole thing.
Roo feels like the entire project was set to fail since it was discovered that more tabs had been removed, yet still no one has reached out.
Marilyn tries her best to persuade her that the more tabs she takes, the better she will respond to interested people, but it does nothing to make Roo feel better.
Alf notices Marilyn peeling off another tab, and he expresses his displeasure with her for giving Roo hope of work that might never happen.
Marilyn realizes that she has done the wrong thing, promising she will tell Roo the truth.
If and when Marilyn spills the beans, how will Roo react, and will she abandon her tutoring dream?
Home and Away airs on Channel 5 at 1.45pm and 6pm on 5STAR. First-look screenings air at 6.30pm, and the program also streams on My5.
