Out of Office's stars teased their new film in an interview with WDIV 4 in Detroit, with star Vayntrub claiming that it's a universal experience of what people went through when suddenly they all had to work from home during the epidemic.
Out of Office is the same nightmare that we all experienced during the epidemic, where we are still making connections through the screen, despite our differences. In this film, Jays character and my character have a little love connection, but ultimately, its about us all and wanting to be together again and in the process hilarity ensues because we have ridiculously talented comedic icons in this film. ultimately, its a big laugh-fest.
My character is Neil, he's straight-laced, by the book, by the script, and tries to avoid situations and to be the voice of reason in everything. She is his strength because ultimately she helps him develop and she brings out a side of him that he needs in life.
Vayntrub is well-known for her AT&T commercials, but she said it wasnt that different when it came to a feature film.
I have the best time doing those I love that job. Its actually the most natural transition to continue acting. Commercial acting isnt that different. I just show up for more days in a row, joked Vayntrub.
On Comedy Central, Out of Office will premiere on Monday, September 5 at 8 p.m. Eastern and Pacific times.
