What is The Division Heartland?Gameplay and features
The Division Heartland is a standalone game set in the Division Universe, but the leaked store page states it's a PvEvP survival shooter similar to Escape from Tarkov.
It's described as a survival action shooter set in small-town Middle America, where players take part in 45-player PvEvP Storm Operations against a group of dangerous Rogue agents known as the Vultures, all while surviving a deadly virus.
In Excursion Operations, players must gather gear, activate alerts, and prepare the battlefield.
The Division Heartland will feature Hero shooter mechanics, where you can play as one of six agents and choose between three classes each match, all with their own advantages and abilities.

The Division Heartland release date window
The Division Heartland game was announced by Ubisoft back in May 2021, and a leak on their store page stated it would be released in 2021-22.
It's entirely possible that coming soon was just a placeholder, but some gamers anticipate the game to have a surprise drop alongside the Ubisoft Forward event on September 10th. However, a release date announcement at the event is probably more probable.
The Division Heartland platforms
The Division Heartlands Playtest Signup page enables us to confirm that the game has been developed for PC via Ubisoft connect, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S.
The developers have also confirmed that The Division Heartland would be available on Cloud as well.
Is the Division Heartland free to play?
Back in their May 2021 blog, Ubisoft stated that The Division Heartland will be free to play, and the leaked Ubisoft store listing also stated that the game would be completely free.
