According to a trademark renewal, the announcement Konami was teasing for Tokyo Game Show 2022 is for a new Suikoden game (or project) rather than Silent Hill. Despite recent reports, many felt that Silent Hill would finally get some attention. Perhaps not.
Voice actors are a major factor in fresh Suikoden game speculations.
Although a new Konami title may be announced at the Tokyo Game Show in 2022, its hard to put your hopes up for it since the company has a habit of announcing merchandise and pachinko machines when fans anticipate a new game or IP. Yuji Kaji is expected to be invited as a guest to represent the fans of a series that is well-known throughout the world on the announcement stage for a new Konami title, according to the publisher.
Despite these limitations, sources suggest that the above announcement is for a smaller project, so we cannot rule out the possibility of a mobile game here.
As far as Silent Hill is concerned, it seems to be stuck in an endless loop of leaks and disappointments. By now, it's evident that a Silent Hill project (or two) exists, but who's working on it and when well see it is anyone's guess. There's talk of a Silent Hill 2 remake alongside an entirely different game.
I suppose we'll see out in due course.
