In this God of War ad, Rick and Morty play as Kratos and his son ...

To promote this yearsGod of War: Ragnarok, the duo kind of took on the roles of Kratos and his son Atreus in a promo spot that ran alongside the Sunday premiere of season 6 of Rick and Morty.

Rick shaves his head and sprays his face with red paint to imitate Kratos' iconic facial tattoo before handing an ever-disciplined Morty a toy bow and arrow and guiding him through a portal to the Nine Realms (the worlds of Norse mythology in which the 2018 God of War and this sequel take place). There, Morty suffers the agony of a crow attack while Rick gets his hands on Kratos Leviathan A

Why does this happen? Very good question. Why do we have to do anything, Morty? asks Rick. Money? suggests his grandson.

Rick and Morty have done promotional work for PlayStation previously; in 2019, they appeared in a video mocking Death Stranding. Morty is also currently available to play in Warner Bros. fighter MultiVersus.

God of War: Ragnarok is one of the few few video games to have a release date in the late-2022 range. On PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, it will be available on November 9th. I suspect that, like Rick, we may well be delighted enough to plunge ourselves into the Nine Realms when it arrives.
