The Burning Girls is a series based on the C.J. Tudor 2021 novel of the same name, which is set to begin production this week.
Reverend Jack Brooks (Morton) and her daughter Flo (Stokes) go to a different town in search of a fresh start. The town has a dark past with many dangerous secrets hidden just beneath the surface, while Stokes is a youngster who marches to the beat of her own drum.
Morton is well-known for films like Minority Report, In America, and Synecdoche, New York. She will play the highly anticipated villain Alpha in the next Starz series The Serpent Queen, which premieres later this month.
Stokes is well-known for playing the titular family in the popular Netflix romance drama Bridgerton. However, she recently decided to leave the series to focus on a lead role in another Netflix series, Lockwood & Co., based on Jonathan Stroud's young adult book series of the same name. She is also set to star in the upcoming film Black Dog.
Conrad Khan, Rupert Graves, Elodie Grace Orkin, Paul Bradley, Jane Lapotaire, Jack Roth, Mollie Holder, Safia Oakley-Green, Beth Cordingly, and John Macmillian will star in The Burning Girls. They are the producers of the hit UK crime drama series Marcella.
The Burning Girls cast has made us feel so good, and we are getting ready for production this week. The depth of talent is fantastic.
The Buring Girls will be available exclusively on Paramount+ when it is released. Keep an eye on Collider for any future news on this project.
