Tiffany Haddish Expresses Deep Regrets the Pedophilia Sketch at the Center of Child Sexual Abuse Sui ...

Tiffany Haddish claims she regrets appearing in a sketch at the center of a recent lawsuit against Aries Spears and her fellow comedian for child sex assault.

Haddish said in a statement posted on social media on Monday morning that he understands people's concerns. Im right there with you. Unfortunately, because there is a legal action, there is little that I can say right now. However, this sketch was intended to be funny, and I deeply regret that I took the time to participate in it.

The video, titled Through a Pedophiles Eyes, was first published on FunnyOrDie.com in 2018 and was later removed from its user-generated content section. It charges Spears and Haddish of intentional infliction of emotional distress, gross negligence, sexual harassment, and sexual abuse of a minor.

The plaintiff claims via the Daily Beast that as an adult, I have the ability to protect my little brother now and I have the authority to take action against what happened to him. And that's what my objective is to achieve. Just to say to my little brother that, Hey, Im sorry I couldnt protect you and be there for you back then. But this is how I'm showing up for you now.

In an email, Haddish's legal counsel (who chose not to reveal the name of her mother, which IndieWire will not publish) stated: Plaintiffs motherhas been trying to slander Ms. Haddish for several years. Every attorney who initially took on her case and there were many eventually dropped the matter once it became clear that the claims were meritless and Ms. Haddish would not be shaken down. Now, [the mother] has her adult daughter representing herself in this lawsuit.

Aries Spears' representation in IndieWires was unable to reply to IndieWires' initial request for information, but she has also denied the accusations.
