Does Warzone support crossplay and is it cross-platform? We explain, how to play Warzone cross-platform, and how to set up crossplay.
While Warzone may be out for a while, players are still unsure if the game supports crossplay. What's the answer?
After over two years, I have no clue why there are still players who are unsure whether or not Warzone supports crossplay or cross-platform, or whether or not Warzone is free. By now, that should be clear, seriously guys, Warzone 2 is on the horizon. We don't want to be a bunch of prudes, though, so here are the answers to those questions.
Is Warzone Cross-Platform?
Yes, Warzone is cross-platform. Warzone has always been cross-platform and had crossplay, as well as cross-progress, which means that your progress in the game will be carried over if you switch from PC to console or vice versa.

How To Turn Off Cross-Platform in Warzone
If you prefer not to play cross-platform, you may deactivate crossplay in the menu at any time. Both PC and Xbox players unfortunately are unable to activate/deactivate this option. It may therefore make sense for PS players to deactivate crossplay.
- Go to Settings
- Go to the aAccounta tab
- Set aCrossplaya to aDisableda

How To a Player from Another Platform
If you want to play with a friend on another platform, you need to include him in your friends list with his Activision ID. On PC, friends may also be added via their Battle.net ID, but you must include an Xbox or PlayStation player.
- Go to "Social" in the menu
- Select "Invite Friends"
- Select "Enter Activision Account to Invite"
- Enter your friend's Activision ID (e.g. PlayerName #1234567) and send the invitation
