Best Mona Genshin Impact builds: Best weapons & artifacts ...

Mona Megistus, better known simply as Mona, is a powerful five-star Hydro Catalyst character capable of assisting and enhancing her teammates' abilities. She is a knowledgeable astrologist who utilizes both in a manner that is entirely unique to her.

Mona is hiding in Mondstadt because she forgot to write her master's letter because she was too afraid to face her master's rage for doing so. She hopes to one day become the world's greatest astrologist.

Mona, a five-star Hydro astrologist, has a unique set of abilities that allow her to maneuver through the storm in remarkable ways. While her primary role is as a support character who helps to support the rest of the party, she has other abilities that allow players to maneuver in a unique manner and distract or entrap enemies.

Mona is one of only two characters, the other being the five-star Cryo Sword character Kamisato Ayaka, who has a special cloaking sprint. This sprint makes exploring Teyvat's world much simpler as Mona can glide right over any body of water and travel anywhere on the ground faster than other characters. It is also extremely useful in combat as she can quickly escape danger or sneak up on unsuspecting foes.

The Hydro characters' elemental skill is a powerful weapon in battle because it both distracts and defeats foes. Her elemental burst is another unique skill she possesses as it will trap enemies in a pocket of destiny and completely immobilize weaker foes.

Mona remains one of the top-rated support characters that players can recruit in Genshin, although choosing the right equipment will significantly affect how her abilities are enhanced, and players should therefore select what they equip her with very carefully.

Best weapons for Mona in Genshin

Mona wields a catalyst and her abilities are therefore magical. For the finest results, players should try and acquire a five-star Hydro character, but a number of other great four-star options are equally suitable for amplifying the Hydro characters' impressive skillset.

Mona's five-star Skyward Atlas catalyst is the best choice. This weapon's unique Wandering Clouds ability increases all elemental damage by 12 percent.

It also gives all normal attack hits a 50 percent chance of gaining favor of the clouds. If a normal attack gains this favor, it will then seek out enemies for 15 seconds and deal 160 percent attack damage to the opponents it discovers.

This Skyward Atlas capability may be activated once every 30 seconds.

Lost Prayer to the Sacred Winds is another excellent five-star option for Mona because of its ability to increase her already powerful evasive abilities. The Boundless Blessing effect of this catalyst increases movement speed by ten percent.

For up to four stacks, the character wielding this weapon receives an eight percent elemental damage every four seconds when in combat. This effect will last until the character wielding this weapon leaves battle or falls on the battlefield.

The Widsith is a solid four-star weapon for players, with the Debut ability, which grants the character wielding this weapon a unique theme song every time they enter the battlefield as long as 30 seconds have passed between them. Each theme song is selected randomly and has a unique effect.

  • If the theme song is Recitative, then attack will be increased by 60 percent.
  • If the theme song is Aria, then elemental damage is increased by 48 percent.
  • If the theme song is Interlude, then elemental mastery is increased by 240.

Mona's four-star Mappa Mare catalyst is another great option. Its special Infusion Scroll ability grants an eight percent elemental damage bonus for 10 seconds after an elemental reaction has been created. This can be done up to two times.

Best artifacts for Mona in Genshin

Mixing and combining different Artifact Sets can be a great way to build Mona. However, only three sets are available for Mona that are truly powerful.

The best Artifact Set that players can equip Mona with is the whole Emblem of Severed Fate set. The two-piece set provides 20 percent energy recharge.

The whole four-piece set increases elemental burst damage by 25% of energy recharge. Up to 75 percent bonus damage may be granted through this set.

The two-piece Nobless Oblige set gives a 20 percent elemental burst damage bonus. The entire four-piece set increases all party members' attacks by 20 percent for 12 seconds after the character that this set is equipped to use an elemental burst.

The Heart of Depth Artifact Set is a solid choice for Mona in both the two-piece and four-piece versions. The two-piece set increases Hydro damage by 15 percent.

After an elemental skill has been used, the entire four-piece set increases normal and charges attack damage by 30 percent.

All Ascension Materials for Mona in Genshin

Most of Monas materials are easy to obtain since she was released when Genshin was released. Philanemo Mushroom is a Mondstadt local specialty, which means it can be found in abundance across Mondstadt. Specifically, players will want to climb all around the buildings in the City of Mondstadt, travel to the homes in Springvale, and visit the houses by Dawn Winery to collect these fungi.

Whopperflowers are generally not too difficult to defeat, although this foe can be frustrating to defeat and may require a bit of patience. For the various levels of Whopperflower Nectar that Mona requires, players will need to battle them regularly.

The most challenging part of ascending the Hydro astrologist will be confronting the Oceanid, also known as the Rhodeia of Loch, for the required Cleansing Heart.

It will take players a few attempts to grasp how to defeat this boss, but the Oceanid is much simpler to defeat with the help of other travelers.

To fully ascend Mona, players will need 420,000 Mora, 46 Cleansing Heart, nine Varunada Lazurite Fragments, nine Varunada Lazurite Chunk, 168 Philanemo Mushroom, 18 Whopperflower Nectar, 30 Shimmering Nectar, and 36 Energy Nectar. Fortunately, this overwhelming amount of resources is broken down for each individual Ascension level.

All Talent Materials for Mona in Genshin

Monas Talent Materials overlap with her Ascension Materials, as is the case with every Genshin character. Players will therefore need to obtain an excess of the loot that is dropped by Whopperflowers.

On Sundays, Tuesdays, and Fridays, all of the Monas skills must be obtained from the Forsaken Rift Domain. Players will also have to face Andrius, the Dominator of Wolves, in the Wolf of the North Challenge challenge for the required Ring of Boreas.

Players will need to acquire 1,652,500 Mora, six Whopperflower Nectar, 22 Shimmering Nectar, 31 Energy Nectar, three Teachings of Resistance, 21 Guide to Resistance, 38 Philosophies of Resistance, six Boreas, and one Crown of Insight.

Players will likely need some time to gather all of these Genshin resources, but it's pretty straightforward as long as players have a bit of patience.

Mona is a permanent character that may be obtained from the standard Wanderlust Invocation wish banner or any special featured character event wish banner. She is one of the easiest five-star characters to obtain, and players may find she receives her when they lose a 50/50 on a featured banner.
