Lannan LazarBeam Eacott and Harley Fresh Campbell, two Australian streaming stars, have teamed up with PlaySide Studios, a Melbourne-based studio to create their very own arena shooter game, World Boss.

World Boss is yet to be released. However, the Steam store page is live. It describes the game as an all-versus-all arena combat shooter.

According to the same listing, it will have 15 players per lobby. It also includes a comprehensive progressive system with unlockable weapons and perks, customizable builds and playstyles, and a ranking leaderboard.

Both LazarBeam and Fresh have strong links to the competitive Fortnite scene. So, it's surprising that World Boss has drawn some inspiration from the things they like about it. For example, the gameplay teaser they released on YouTube shows it has large dome shields, jump pads, and more.

It has a slew of features that aren't found in Fortnite, such as perks, abilities, and power-ups. It's also not a battle royale, although it might be possible to add a mode.

At this stage, it appears like the game will only be released on PC. However, the minimum requirements aren't too high. So, it will run on just about anything that isn't too old.

The official World Boss Discord server is now up. There's a lot of interest being generated from fans on there. As a result, the servers population is growing by the minute.
