Monster Recruitment And More Are Lifted In Dragon Quest Treasures

Monster Recruitment And More Are Lifted In Dragon Quest Treasures ...

You may have forgotten that a little game called Dragon Quest Treasures will be released on December 9th, 2022.

Treasures was initially promised as a Dragon Quest spin-off during Nintendo's own Direct Mini showcase earlier this year, but the game still has a boatload of characters, locations, and monsters to discover, and Square-Enix has now revealed some of the game's main mechanics.

Primarily, we're treated to a deep dive into the world of monster recruiting. Throughout the land of Draconia, characters can be fought by Erik and Mia; once defeated, some may be willing to join your party and offer unique abilities to assist you in your quest. Bronze, silver, gold, and rainbow Monsters are the rarest and may be the most difficult to recruit.

Square-Enix has given an explanation for the types of Monsters you'll be recruiting. The first one is Oozabella, a cute pink slime that can always be seen wearing an adorable yellow bow. Additionally, we see the Valhalla Vulture, the Fiery Dragling, and the Stormy Sabrecat.

Final look at a set of 'Fortes', which are unique Monster abilities that will enable Erik and Mia to navigate the dangerous land of Draconia. These include the Launch Forte, which allows Erik and Mia to cover enormous distances and avoid falling damage, The Stealth Forte for fast land traversal, and the Scan Forte, which will be crucial for locating key crafting materials.

Square-Enix provided a fair amount of information previously about the two main characters from Dragon Quest Treasures, Erik and Mia, so be sure to check them out and get fully caught up. We've included some of the best screenshots from the game's November 9th release to bolster your hype train.
