Will Poulter's new musical thriller The Score has been released in a new exclusive video.
In the third season of Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 3, the actor will play small-time crook Troy, who is about to obtain a "score" that will transform his and his accomplice Mike's lives (Johnny Flynn).
However, as the duo set off for the heist, Troy falls in love with waitress Gloria, played by Star Wars star Naomi Ackie.
The exclusive clip that has been shared with Digital Spy gives us a first taste of the film's musical style, which is reminiscent of Flynn's well-known British folk genre.
Troy begins to express his feelings to Gloria... via song (of course). In a deep country accent, Poulter serenades his co-star in the cafe's industrial kitchen and coaxes her to join him in his playful attempts to tease her.
As they wash up and exchange glances, tea towels, and brief touches with each other, they sing about wanting to "be somebody else" in order to maintain their new relationship.
The two's devotion to each other is the focus of the feature, as Troy contemplates all of his life decisions and whether or not to pursue this final heist.
The soundtrack is now available, ahead of the film's limited cinema and digital release on Friday.
Troy asks in the teaser for the film, which received positive reviews at the Toronto International Film Festival, what would it take for us to leave together?
The duo believes 10,000 pounds would be enough to restart their lives together, but do they do it? Or does Mike, who is becoming more volatile, separate the two?
Flynn, Poulter's co-star, wrote all of the music for Malachi Smyth's directorial debut.
From Friday, September 9, the Score will be available in cinemas and on digital platforms.
