Kinetic Games' popular co-op horror title Phasmophobia has been released as a development roadmap, which includes various new features and content that will be released later this year until 2023.
The first two sections of the roadmap were already released in the game earlier this year, including the VR overhaul in April and some minor changes in May until July, which included a truck overhaul, new hiding spots, and three new ghost types.
The next update for the game will be released in September. It will include a new map called the Sunny Meadows, some custom games, a new report system, and more. In the remaining months of 2022, there will also be an update to the games' weather system as well as for volumetric lighting and optimization.
More interesting things will be added to Phasmophobia next year, such as a new leveling system known as leveling 2.0, and something called Horror 2.0. Kinetic Games is quiet about the details, though it noted that it concerns something that will be replacing the ghost models that will be available in the game, as well as additional events, effects, sounds, and interactions.
Kinetic Games said in a statement that after progression is completed, well get to the last part of Phasmophobia that needs to be reworked.Well be replacing all of the ghost models and adding a slew of new effects, events, sounds, and interactions to scare you out of your skin.
Phasmophobia was released for PC in 2020. To learn more, visit the games' official Steam page.
