Cyberpunk 2077 received a mixed reception in late 2020, but the game has since received a few tweaks that have seemingly resolved many of the issues players initially faced. Now, the game will get its first major DLC expansion, Phantom Liberty, which sees Cyberpunk 2077's protagonist, V join the United States military in what CD Projekt Red describes as a spy-thriller expansion. When will we expect to play this expansion?
Release Dates for Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty
Phantom Liberty has no specific release date at the time of writing, but CD Projekt Red did announce a release date for the DLC during its Night City Wire show in 2023. The game will only launch on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S; it will not be released on PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.
The DLC was announced in a brief teaser that featured V taking an oath to serve in the New United States of Americas military. Keanu Reeves reprises his role as Rockerboy Johnny Silverhand, who mocks V for taking their military oath.
Cyberpunk 2077 received a major upgrade in February, which saw the release of long-awaited current-gen versions as well as a wide array of quality-of-life improvements, such as a reworked perk system and the ability to buy multiple apartments.
