The sequel to survival horror game Monstrum, which features four players facing one frightening monster in a style similar to Evil Dead and Friday the 13th: The Game, has just launched on Steam.

You play as a single survivor, escaping from an abandoned cargo ship while being hunted by one of several possible nightmarish creatures. Partially procedurally generated, you must complete objectives in a variedorder, while running and hiding to avoid the different hellbeasts that threaten to crush you.

Monstrum 2, which is now available on Steam after leaving Early Access, draws upon the same asymmetrical multiplayer horror games as Dead by Daylight, Evil Dead, and Friday the 13th, while one player is cast as the semi-eponymous monster, and you can also customize both your survivor and your personal versions of the predatory monsters in order to survive.

The levels are fantastic, reminiscent of the mechanised bioshocks Rapture, while the monsters are terrifying Eldritch hellspawn with a wide range of abilities and abilities. It's a must-have for fans of high-quality survival horror.
