The Lid On Monster Recruitment And More In Dragon Quest Treasures Has Been Lifted

The Lid On Monster Recruitment And More In Dragon Quest Treasures Has Been Lifted ...

You might have forgotten that Dragon Quest Treasures will be released on Switch on December 9th, 2022.

Treasures was initially touted as a Dragon Quest spin-off during Nintendo's Direct Mini event earlier this year, but it still contains a large variety of characters, locations, and monsters to discover, and Square-Enix has now revealed some more of the game's fundamental mechanics.

Primarily, we're treated to a deeper dive into the world of monster recruitment. Several characters from Draconia can be fought by them; once defeated, some may be willing to join your party and provide valuable abilities to assist you on your quest. Copper, silver, gold, and rainbow Monsters are the most rarest and may be the most difficult to recruit.

Square-Enix discusses the different types of Monsters you'll be recruiting. First up is a cute pink slime named Oozabella, who can always be seen wearing a cute yellow bow. In addition, we get a glimpse of the Valhalla Vulture, the Fiery Dragling and the Stormy Sabrecat.

Then we see a few of the 'Fortes,' which are unique Monster abilities that will assist Erik and Mia in their quest to navigate the dangerous land of Draconia. These include the Launch Forte, which allows Erik and Mia to reach high ledges, The Glide Forte to cover great distances and avoid fall damage, The Stealth Forte to dive below ground and avoid the keen eye of the enemies, and the Scan Forte, which will be crucial for locating key crafting materials.

Square-Enix provided a fair amount of information about the two main characters from Dragon Quest Treasures, Erik and Mia, so please see that out and get fully caught up. Here are some of the best from our comprehensive gallery to bolster your excitement train. Hopefully we'll get a bit more information before the game's December 9th launch - maybe a new trailer, please?
