Thor: Love and Thunder is coming to Disney+ this Thursday, and to commemorate the god of Thunder's latest adventure, Disney has released a new featurette depicting the characters' ten-year journey in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. This might be implying that Thor Odinson isn't complete.
The new featurette takes a look behind the scenes to show viewers how the Marvel Studios created the huge New Asgard set for Love and Thunder, as well as Hemsworth's explanation of the hero's ten-year journey and how Thor changed with each new film. From this viewpoint, Love and Thunder represents a rebirth of the character following the events of Avengers: Endgame.
Natalie Portman gets an invite to reprise her role as Mighty Thor in the new featurette. She is able to show her appreciation for Hemsworth, wearing the same superhero cape, and battling alongside her co-star to defeat a new and dangerous MCU villain, Gorr, the God Butcher (Christian Bale).
Both Portman and Hemsworth take the time to praise director Taika Waititi, who injects his positive energy into the film, which leads everyone to enjoy their time at work. With Love and Thunder, Waititi underscores how he wasnt afraid to be outrageous and campy, which led to a vibrant and colorful visual aesthetic, perfect for a cosmic adventure.
Tessa Thompson returns as King Valkyrie, Chris Pratt returns as Star-Lord Drax the Destroyer, Karen Gillan returns as Nebula, Vin Diesel returns as Groot, and Bradley Cooper returns as Rocket. Zeus, the Greek God of Thunder, made his MCU debut in May of 2016.
Thor: Love and Thunder will be available on Disney+ on Thursday, September 8, as part of Disney Plus Day. The film will be available on Ultra HD 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD on September 27.
