Dan Lin is no longer in the running to take over Walter Hamada's role at Warner Bros ...

Dan Lin is no longer in discussions to take over as the DCEU supervisor due to previous commitments with Rideback, his production company.

The DCEU has been one of the most vulnerable sectors in the Warner Bros. Discovery merger, which has resulted in HBO Max being stripped of content without prior notice. Not only is the DCEU currently suffering from a major overhaul, but also a growing partnership with Matt Reevesthat means his The Batman universe will continue to thrive and flourish.

Warner Bros. Discovery is causing a lot of rage among fans of the DC reboot, and the company is rushing to hire a person who can oversee the whole Extended Universe for decades to come, similar to Kevin Feige's work with Marvel Studios and the MCU. Lin appeared to be a promising choice, as the producer has proven time and time again that he can handle big blockbuster movies with success. Lethal Weapon and The CWs Walker are two of the most well-known TV shows.

The future of the DCEU is in jeopardy for the time being. After Batgirls' cancellation, Hamada was almost forced to stay on board until the release of Black Adam, the next DCEU film to be released in less than two months, Warner Bros. Discovery is looking for a worthy replacement to take the DCEU in the direction they want it to go.

Black Adam will be released on October 21 in theaters. See the trailer for Black Adams.
