Melissa McBride will be a major part of Season 11 of The Walking Dead, which will release its final batch of episodes later this year.
Beyond that, things start to get more cryptic. One time upon a time, the actress was expected to star alongside Norman Reedus in a spin-off program that would have furthered Daryl and Carols' story. However, the actress was unable to relocate to Europe, where filming would take place. It was a disappointment, but of course the actress would return at some point later on in the future.
Melissa herself stated that she's done with the Carols story after season 11 and that she'll finish it.
Carol feels like she has more to tell, but Ill leave it at that I think she's got some more story.
Of course, thats a large part of what makes things so complicated. She may make her way to the Daryl spin-off later on; or, she may appear in the Danai Gurira limited series planned by AMC, especially since theyve probably already shared some details concerning some of their plans. Just remember that they announced the Negan Maggie spin-off probably a lot sooner than they had to, and by virtue of that, gave away that both of them would make it through the final season alive.
The most important thing is that this universe honors Carol; after all, there are only a few individuals who have shown such devotion to the world over the years.
