Due to a delay in the release date, the director of Shazam 2 has shut down rumors of reshoots ...

Despite rumors, Shazam! Fury of the Gods is not in reshoots.

The shift in the release date from December 16 to March 27 seems to have gotten tongues wagging, but director David F Sandberg's recent Instagram Stories Q&A set the record straight.

"I've seen reports that Shazam is being'retooled,' but this isn't the case," he replied.

"The cut has been locked for quite a while, and we're working on the final mix, color, and visual effects right now," he said.

"Everyone is happy with the film, and we're not going to work longer on it because of the change in release date. They believed Aquaman [and the Lost Kingdom's] previous date was better for us, and that's why we've moved.

"Definitely not shooting more."

Rachel Zegler, who plays Anthea, said on Twitter that she was shocked by the delay announcement last month: "Thanks for all the support, mi familia,'shazam!: fury of the gods,' will be released in theaters on March 17, 2023. hope to see you there.

"Mostly disappointed because i had my shazam photo dump ready :(."

Brendan Gleeson has announced that she would play Joker: Folie a Deux alongside Joaquin Phoenix's cackling clown Arthur Fleck, as Lady Gaga's version of Harley Quinn and Zazie Beetz's Sophie Dumond.

On October 4, 2024, a musically-minded return to Gotham City will be released.

The first Shazam movie can be seen on Prime Video UK.
