Sony is releasing a gray camo PS5 to make you laugh about not having to see your PS5 ...

Sony Interactive Entertainment has announced that new gray camouflage versions of the DualSense wireless controller, PlayStation 5 console covers, and Pulse 3D wireless headset will be released this fall. While not expected to be released until the October release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2, the new gray camouflage pattern designs will serve as a means of making jokes about how your DualSense controller isn't working correctly.

The gray camouflage console covers will provide an opportunity to joke about your spouse, partner, or roommate, saying, "Dont worry, youll never have to see that awful PS5 again." This is in reference to the camouflaged design, which would only work in practice if you were, say, hunting deer in the woods.

Sony's Gray Camouflage Collection for PS5 will launch on October 15th. The DualSense controller and PS5 console covers will launch sometime in December. Colored DualSense controllers retail for $74.99, an increase of $5 over standard white or black PS5 controllers, and existing console covers cost $54.99.

Here's a closer look at the PS5 Gray Camouflage Collection, because, trust me, they're all visible if you look closely! Haha.

The Gray Camouflage collection follows a similar trend of PlayStation 4 releases. During that console's life cycle, Sony released DualShock 4 controllers in at least four camouflage colors: green, blue, red, and gray.

In January, Sony began selling colored PS5 console covers, allowing current-gen console owners to substitute the standard white covers with Midnight Black, Cosmic Red, Nova Pink, Starlight Blue, and Galactic Purple options. DualSense controllers were also released.
