The Animal Kingdom's CEO sees the potential for a Deran/J spinoff

The Animal Kingdom's CEO sees the potential for a Deran/J spinoff ...

Animal Kingdom is over, yes. But is it also done? As the dust settles in the wake of the TNT dramas series finale (recapped in full here), quite a number of fans have found themselves hankering for a spinoff in which Jake Wearys Deran returns to his treacherous nephew J (Finn Cole). Could this be a good idea?

The aptly named FUBAR did just that, with both of the Derans brothers, not to mention Penny, dying and the Smurfs' house in disrepair. Nathanson, she says, was ensuring that the narrative was settled in its emotional conclusion, not a potential next chapter.

Despite the fact that there is still work to be done, viewers want to see if and how Deran keeps his promise to Craig to care for his fiancee and son. (Nathanson shares her thoughts on that topic here.) The audience wants to know whether Deran is able to track down J and exact his revenge for the tragic attack that cost him a fortune and his siblings.

Nathanson acknowledges that you can always wish to follow others. But I do not know how long you may be able to keep doing this. It would be a different story.

Would this be a story youd want to see told? On your way to the comments, see the above photo gallery of the most shocking deaths in Animal Kingdom.
