In a promo image that appeared alongside the Sunday premiere of Season 6 of Rick and Morty, the duo kind of assumed the roles of Kratos and his son Atreus to promote this yearsGod of War: Ragnarok.
Rick shaves his head and smears his face with red paint to imitate Kratos' iconic facial tattoo before handing an ever-crowish Morty a toy bow and arrow and launching him through the Nine Realms (the worlds of Norse mythology in which the 2018 God of War and this sequel take place).
Why is this happening? A good question. Why do we have to do anything, Morty? Asks Rick. Money? Asks his grandson. No, but not this time, according to the scientist.
Rick and Morty have done promo work for PlayStation before, appearing in a video spoofing Death Stranding in 2019. Morty is also currently available to play in Warner Bros. fighter MultiVersus.
God of War: Ragnarok is one of the very few big video games to have a release date for late-2022. It will be available on PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 on November 9. I suspect we might well be pleased enough to enter the Nine Realms when the release comes.
