Sources: VALORANT teams that have partnered are required to submit an early roster submission to Rio ...

Multiple sources told Dot Esports that teams planning to partner with Riot Games for the international VALORANT leagues next year will need to submit a potential roster in October.

Riot is planning an announcement on September 26, just days after the conclusion of the VALORANT Champions tournament.

Teams will have until around October 15 to submit a roster to Riot. However, this does not mean teams will be able to sign players after that date and before the start of the league, which will begin in the middle of February, as previously reported by Dot Esports.

The teams will have until around February 1 to complete their rosters for next years league, while the main event will begin around two weeks after the lock. There will also be a second transfer window in March.

The first year of the partnership league will feature 30 teams, including ten teams from the Americas, EMEA, and Asia regions. Teams have already begun preparations for the circuit while waiting for Riots' final decision.

Due to Ascension and Riots' new amateur promotion system, partner teams will not be able to offer academy rosters next year. Teams will start in Challengers if they are not selected by Riot to be partnered.

Several players will leave the leagues before the start of the next season. Roster changes are expected in the next few weeks.
