Splatoon 3 is finally available on Steam tomorrow, and as is customary in this day and age Nintendo has prepared a launch day patch for the game to get the final release all prepared for some ink-tastic action this weekend.
Capn Cuttlefish's appearance in Hero Mode, which is Story Mode at the Crater tent, will be available later today and downloadable once the game is loaded onto your Switch. You'll also be able to use Photo Mode at certain locations throughout the story.
Nintendo's patch notes, as well as the translations provided by Perfectly Nintendo, are available here.
Changes to Hero Mode - Capn Cuttlefish's appearance from the sketchbook at the Crater tent may now be changed (press the A button to check it) - Even if you have already returned to the Crater, you may return to the Crater while looking at the stuffed Zapfish at the camp and selecting Remember the Crater. - Photo Mode may now be used in Hero Mode (only in some locations)
Other Changes- Features that require an internet connection are now available.
