On the Paramount+ series Star Trek: Picard, Patrick Stewart brings Picard to screens for the third and final time.
Picard introduces a new starship, the USS Titan, on February 16, and reunites the original Star Trek: The Next Generation crew from the USS Enterprise-D to save Dr. Beverly Crusher (Gates McFadden). The teaser for Season 3 was unveiled on Paramount+'s Star Trek Day on September 8.
Stewart will reprise his iconic role of Jean-Luc Picard in the ten-episode season of The Next Generation. LeVar Burton, Michael Dorn, Jonathan Frakes, Marina Sirtis, Brent Spiner, Jeri Ryan, and Michelle Hurd also star.
Admiral Jean-Luc Picard and McFaddens Dr. Beverly Crusher are sending this message. We need your help.
Stewart dismissed the use of the Next Generation roles in Picard Season 3 as a sort of reunion, but rather as a cautionary tale about the likely dangers ahead for the characters.
Stewart said during a panel discussion, via Variety. It is an essential gathering of all of the most essential elements of Star Trek: the Next Generation coming together to do what they do best.
Terry Matalas serves as the executive producer and showrunner for Season 3 of Picard, along with executive producers Alex Kurtzman, Akiva Goldsman, Stewart, Heather Kadin, Aaron Baiers, Rod Roddenberry, Trevor Roth, Doug Aarniokoski, and Dylan Massin.
Matalas, showrunner, stated previously that the Picard narrative has come full circle.
Matalas explains that Jean-Luc Picard's story should conclude with the beginning, as the ship's most beloved and most loyal pals. I think the whole Star Trek: Picard team and I look forward to welcoming fans to this final, high-stakes, starship-bound adventure in Season 3.
Star Trek: Under Decks, Star Trek: Prodigy, and Strange New Worlds were among the topics covered by Paramount+'s Star Trek Day. Earlier this year, Strange New Worlds made history as the most-watched Star Trek original series on Paramount+.
