A New Halloween Ends Image Is A Nod To John Carpenters' Original ...

The 2018 Halloween film, which was hugely successful, was quickly ordered, with David Gordon behind the camera for all three. A new Halloween Ends photo gives a nod to John Carpenter's original.

With the 1978 original Halloween film, filmmaker John Carpenter changed the horror genre forever, making a star out of Jamie Lee Curtis. The current trilogy serves as a direct sequel to that film, overlooking all previous sequels and timelines. Halloween Ends will wrap up the story, and also serve as Curtis' final performance as Laurie Strode, according to a new image from the slasher on Twitter.

I mean, how cool is that? Fans are eager to see Michael and Laurie collide in the next threequels, and this time Jamie Lee Curtis might be at the cutting end of the knitting needle.

The above picture is sure to please hardcore Halloween enthusiasts out there, especially since we haven't received much footage from the highly anticipated threequel Halloween Ends. Laurie and Michael meet face to face in what is sure to be a grisly fight sequence. The Shape wants retaliation for his famous injury from the first film.

Laurie manages to get the upper hand on Michael a few times during the final chase sequence of John Carpenters' original Halloween film. Obviously they have their famous altercation when Laurie is fighting in the closet, but she also jabs him with a knitting needle before that after he nearly stabs her arm.

The inclusion of a knitting needle into the action in Halloween Ends further demonstrates how much David Gordon Green and writer Danny McBride love John Carpenter's original film. Moreover, Halloween Kills brought back original actors from the movie. Carpenter is also an executive producer and has written the new movies' music, according to smart money.

On October 14, Peacock will be available in cinemas and streaming. In the meantime, make sure you check out the release dates for 2022.
