After revealing the health danger to fans, NCIS Pauley Perrette gets candid about the massive stroke ...

Pauley Perrette starred as Abby Sciuto, the cheerful goth who guided Leroy Jehtro Gibbs and his team in solving crimes at Washingtons Navy Yard for 15 seasons. She has continued to disclose various details to her followers about whats going on in her personal life. This includes Perrette having just commemorated the one-year anniversary of suffering a massive stroke.

Pauley Perrette has been through a lot in the last few years, including losing her father to COVID, and to engulf a stroke on top of these personal tragedies is a disaster. In a conversation with ET, the NCIS actress recalled exactly what she experienced that fateful day in September 2021.

I woke up and realized that I had just slept strange. However, as I continued to realize the extent of the numbness: I could have burned myself or cut my finger off and would not have known -- I called my doctor and he said, 'GO TO THE EMERGENCY ROOM IMMEDIATELY.'

Pauley Perrette admitted that she was hesitant to take this advice at first, and told a neurologist at an appointment later that same day. The doctor informed Perrette that if she managed to live until 5 p.m., which he was unsure would happen, her therapist would also advise her to go to the emergency room.

'Hey, I cant feel the right hand side of my body,' I said in the Emergency Room. I was on a gurney with a million things stuck in my arms and a bunch of medical professionals rushing me somewhere. They understand how critical immediate treatment is.

Pauley Perrette was sent to the hospitals stroke unit and had her speech and mobility checked, among other things. Although she admitted that she had some lingering issues from the stroke for a few months, she ultimately recovered and returned to the hospital as soon as she could.

I am totally okay with myself and I really want people to be aware of all signs of a stroke, especially that you may have one at any age! By knowing the signs of a stroke, we can save ourselves and others.

Pauley Perrette's personal life will be enriched by speaking up for the Los Angeles Fire Department in February 2022. Diona Reasonover, Rocky Carroll, and Meredith Eaton were among the few actors who attended the short-lived CBS comedy Broke.

Needless to say, Pauley Perrette will reprise Abby Sciuto on NCIS, but for the time being, the show's 20th season premiere has been carved out on the 2022 TV schedule for September 19.
