The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power has finally arrived, and with it, a wave of outrage from some viewers has erupted. A number of viewers have taken to social media to express their displeasure, with some making racial or misogynistic remarks about certain characters. In turn, a number of fans have condemned the remarks.

Elijah Wood, well-known to fans for playing hobbit Frodo Baggins, teamed up with former Lord of the Rings co-stars Dominic Monaghan and Billy Boyd, who played Meriadoc Brandybuck and Pippen Took, to respond.

I think You Are All Welcome Here is a message that most of us can agree upon. It's comforting that some of the franchise's most well-known actors are absolutely supportive of The Rings of Power and its characters. And on top of that, Sean Astin, who famously played Samwise Gamgee, posted a photo of himself with the same saying.

Sean Astin, Elijah Wood, and his co. both believe in the popular fantasy series J.R.R. Tolkiens. Since Peter Jackson's LOTR trilogy ended years ago, Astin has shared his fond memories of working on the popular films.

The Rings of Power features a Black elf and a Black female dwarf, a fresh direction for the classic franchise. Amazon intervened and shut down Prime Video reviews, despite some positive responses. notable artists like Neil Gaiman have defended the streaming shows.

When it comes to The Lord of the Rings, there is no room for any kind of prejudice, and any criticism motivated by specific biases should not be tolerated. Elijah Wood and his co. clearly understand this, and I wouldnt be surprised if more of their previous co-stars follow suit in showing their support.

As part of the 2022 TV schedule, The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will release new episodes on Fridays. So grab an Amazon Prime subscription if you want to see it.
