Season 2 of Yellowjackets: 6 Quick Things We Know About The Showtime Series

Season 2 of Yellowjackets: 6 Quick Things We Know About The Showtime Series ...

Yellowjackets is one of the best shows to stream on Showtime right now. The characters are enticing, fun, and sometimes a bit crazy in the best ways. We wanted a new season the moment Season 1 ended. However, we'll have to wait a little longer for Yellowjackets Season 2.

The cast and crew have been briefed on the next season, because the hit loses some of its excitement from the major mysteries surrounding what happened in the wilderness all those years ago. Nonetheless, we do know some quick things about the next season.

Let us tell you what we know so far about Season 2 of Yellowjackets.

Season 1 of Yellowjackets will be spoilers in the near future. Be cautious.

Season 2 of Yellowjackets began filming in August 2022.

The official Yellowjackets Twitter page has stated that filming will begin on August 30, 2022. Prior to this confirmation, it was mentioned in several press releases that filming would begin in August.

The tweet simply says "Going wild." Our #Yellowjackets are back in production for Season 2, with a photo of a clapperboard and a bee emoji at the end of the sentence.

Season 2 of Yellowjackets will premiere in early 2023.

Co-showrunner and co-creator Ashley Lyle told The Wrap that the intention was to have the second season of Yellowjackets released sometime in "the first quarter of 2023." Lyle then explained that the second season will have a similar production schedule as the first.

Yellowjackets is expected to finish filming by February 2023, and have the program premiere soon thereafter, according to IMDB. The filming of Season 1 began in May 2021, but finished filming in October 2021.

The filming for Yellowjackets Season 1 took about six months, and the program was shown on Showtime the month after filming ended. If everything goes as planned, then the second season of the film should finish filming as planned, and it might debut in March 2023.

Pencil in the first episode of your TV premiere schedule for Yellowjackets Season 2, because anything can happen with production, filming, and release, but if everything goes correctly, then Yellowjackets Season 2 will premiere at the end of March 2023.

Season 2 cast of The Yellowjackets includes Elijah Wood and other familiar faces.

Elijah Wood will play Walter on Yellowjackets in a season-long guest role in August 2022. He is a Citizen Detective who is very dedicated to his job. He also seems to be threatening Misty (Christina Ricci). Reading between the lines, I believe that Walter will be someone trying to investigate the women but may also become a love interest for Misty.

Elijah Wood is going to play alongside this amazing cast of women in this intense, bizarre, and entertaining program. He appears to be in great form.

Before filming for Yellowjackets, the cast made several other important casting announcements. Lauren Ambrose will play adult Van, while Simone Kessell will play adult Lottie. We debated who should play adult Lottie before the casting committee chose Simone Kessell to play adult Lottie.

Teen Van was also alive in the past, but it was unclear about her future. Now, we know that she is at least reaching adulthood. With the news that Simone Kessell and Lauren Ambrose would join the Yellowjackets cast, there was news that their teen counterparts would have even greater roles in the next season. Courtney Eaton and Liv Hewson have both been promoted to series regulars for Yellowjackets Season 2.

Season 2 of Yellowjackets is all about Lottie's future.

After the Yellowjackets Season 1 season 1 finale, many of our concerns centered around Lottie. Yellowjackets co-showrunners Bart Nickerson and Ashley Lyle said the second season involves more of the past and present Lottie.

The showrunners discussed Lotties' transformation as a teen as a big plotline in Season 2 of Yellowjackets, and they also shared that viewers can expect Lottie to be a significant presence and threat in the upcoming season.

a lot of what we've seen from the women in Season 1 is a sort of interior threat, especially with Shauna, and I think that moving forward in Season 2, we may see a little bit more exterior threat.

Lottie will demonstrate a lot more why she is a danger as a youngster and an adult. This makes her the most fascinating character to watch in the coming season, because we dont quite know how dark and dangerous her shell becomes.

With the past, there will be more direct concordance.

The past's flaws remain a major focus in Yellowjackets Season 1, according to Ashley Lyle, who talked about the series going forward in Season 2. The subtitle could be called Yellowjackets: An American War Story, according to director Karyn Kusama.

This is most likely because of the way things one carries and deals with after a period of trauma as going to war can continue to haunt the person long after the war has gone.

Lyle also discussed how the show might end in Season 2 and how the dynamics may change when other survivors return:

Weve discussed the fact that Season 2 for the wilderness storyline is their first winter. And all the difficulties that you can imagine go along with that. I think weve called it the winter of their discontent. And then in the present day storyline, you know, theyve dug themselves some holes, and thats going to be an issue. I think we strongly suggest that there may be a different person coming back. We may be seeing some new dynamics, and there may be another survivor coming back into the mix.

The main characters of Yellowjackets Season 2 will certainly be haunted by past demons, whether in human form, as mystical beings, or just in a symbolic way.

The 1st Season of The Yellowjackets Could Not Be The Last Time We See Jackie

Jackie (Ella Purnell) passed away at the end of Season 1 of Yellowjackets, but her character may not be completely removed from the show. Ashley Lyle discusses how Jackie's death will continue to haunt Shauna (Melanie Lynskey). In an Insider interview, Lyle states that she expects Jackie's death to be something that haunts all of the survivors.

Jackie will continue to be a figure and symbol that looms large for all of these women, according to the author. It's also stated that it's not necessarily the last time we've seen Jackie.

Ella Purnell may continue to appear on Yellowjackets Season 2 if Jackie's ghost continues to haunt the women, particularly Shauna.

Yellowjackets Season 2 is already one of the most anticipated returning series of 2023. We still have a lot to learn about the upcoming season, including if we will get 10 episodes like Season 1, which looks likely, because Lyle seemed to suggest this in a The Wrap interview.

Showtime has a live stream of YellowjacketsSeason 1.
