High Heat: 6 Things You Should Know About Netflix's International Show

High Heat: 6 Things You Should Know About Netflix's International Show ...

The Netflix Top 10 has so many interesting shows to choose from, including many familiar faces that have appeared in the past few weeks, such as the very popular Stranger Things Season 4 or The Sandman, but there was a new one on the list in recent weeks that has completely changed my mind. That is High Heat.

The series has been in the Netflix Top 10 for several weeks now, and even if it does not make the list this week, it's sure to be popular. Here are six quick things you should know before you dive into the flames of drama.

High Heat Is A Mexican Drama

High Heat is a Mexican TV drama that is also known as a telenovela (a Latinx version of a serial drama). However, it's not that surprising when a foreign program becomes popular on Netflix.

Squid Game, a South Korean drama, has been nominated for several Primetime Emmy Awards. There are two other popular Latinx series, Money Heist and Elite, on Netflix, so High Heat's success isn't that surprising.

This is a great platform for those who like high-stakes drama. If you like High Heat, there are plenty of other Latinx shows to watch on Netflix, and with Hispanic Heritage Month just around the corner, now is the time.

High Heat Is A Murder Mystery With Action

Because High Heat is for you, these are my lovely whodunit people who enjoy a good mystery. The main idea is that we are following Poncho, a young man who is attempting to discover the truth about his brothers' murder. His goal is to discover the killer and get justice.

With the help of Olivia, he decides to work undercover to try and discover who killed his brother, and his story becomes intertwined with another intense plot. High Heat.

And as previously mentioned, there are a slew of action scenes that will keep you on edge of your seat. When a guy decides to work as a firefighter during his investigation, you just know that his going to lead to some awful action scenes.

Its From The Same Creator Of Who Killed Sara?

Do you remember when a murder mystery called Who Killed Sara became popular on the platform in 2021? It's true, High Heat is the creation of Jose Ignacio Valenzuela.

Who Killed Sara? was a smash hit on Netflix, and there are countless other shows out there that are just like it, but why not try another murder mystery by the same creator? It has all the twists and turns you could want.

Each episode lasts about 30-45 minutes. There are 39 episodes.

When I first saw High Heat, I was surprised. There are 39 episodes. That's right. Thirty-nine. For a first season, that's a far cry from other shows that have only eight or nine episodes but then release it in volumes (cough, Strangers Things, cough).

High Heat has a lot of episodes, but it's not the end of the world as they're not particularly long. The longest episodes are at the start of the season, so expect it to go without much effort.

The Series Is Rated TV-MA

High Heat is joining the ranks of other Netflix shows such as The Witcher and Bridgerton in terms of ratings, as the Mexican drama is rated TV-MA. It may be prudent to keep your children away from the television screen when watching this fiery series.

Theres Only One Season So Far

There is only one season of High Heat available right now, considering how popular the Netflix series has become, and plenty of other international series have received several seasons there. For the time being, there is only one.

I hope you can stand the steaminess that will come from the screen with this Mexican drama. It's going to be a great ride and one you'll definitely enjoy.
